Prior to YouMail, Alex co-founded and was the CEO of Quack.com, which provided a consumer voice portal service that was essentially SIRI over a 1-800 number back before there were smart phones. AOL acquired Quack for $200 million in August, 2000, just 18 months after it was founded. At AOL, Alex was a Vice President of Voice Services, where he helped drive the division to multiple product launches and over 1 million paying subscribers and over $50 million in annual revenue. Alex holds a PhD in Computer Science from UCLA, and is the co-inventor on 4 patents.

Mike leads R&D, engineering and products at YouMail. He’s been applying his expertise in high-scale distributed platforms and customer-centric product design to multiple businesses and industries over the past nineteen years. Prior to joining the YouMail team, Mike served as VP, Director or Chief Architect at a number of LA and OC companies including LogicalApps, First Advantage, US Search, Cipient Systems, Mindshare and QDS. As a serial entrepreneur, Mike has directly participated in over a dozen southern California start-ups since he graduated with a BS in Computer Science & Engineering from UCLA.

Tom Saftig has been providing part-time CFO services since 2001 for early stage high growth technology companies in San Diego and Orange County. He has assisted companies with angel and venture capital financing, mergers and acquisitions, strategic and operational organization. In the past several years the companies he’s worked with have raised over $40 million of venture financing $13.5 million of angel investment, and either obtained or restructured $5 million of debt/lease financing. His focus is on recurring revenue companies and customer life cycle analysis. He has an MBA from U.C.L.A.’s Anderson School of Management and a BA from Stanford University.

Prior to YouMail, Freddy was the Senior Technology Engineer at Openlogic Inc where he managed server infrastructure including performance monitoring, tuning, and upgrades. Freddy also secured new clients as the technical sales consultant using his expertise in database design, architecture, and performance tuning. Freddy graduated from the Sør-Trøndelag University College in Norway.

Adam is the Director of Development for all Telephony and API services at YouMail, as well as the Lead Architect for the YouMail Protective Services suite of applications.

Wayne has been a key player in the evolution of the YouMail Mobile team since 2011. His significant contributions to several high impacting projects have led to YouMail’s Visual Voicemail / Call Blocker apps achieving multiple awards. He now leads and mentors the YouMail mobile development team consisting of passionate engineers from all around the globe. Mr. Tran holds a BS in Computer Science w/ Mathematics minor.

Irish develops and coordinates efficient, effective systems for testing the quality of YouMail applications. She also oversees the testing procedures and handles the QA department’s staff and performance. Irish has been with YouMail since 2008. Prior to YouMail, she has worked in School, Financial, Supply Chain, Ticketing, Airlines, and Payroll industries as a QA Lead.

Prior to YouMail, Andy was the founder and CEO of Thumbtel, developer of the HulloMail visual voicemail and the Another Number second phone number apps. Before that, all the way back in 1999, he founded VoxSurf, the world’s first web and open standards IP messaging technology, which was used by over 400 million end-users globally. Andy has authored several cloud and mobile messaging technology patents.

Michael is a passionate creative director with many years of experience in the technology space. As part of YouMail, he plays a meaningful role in collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring creative ideas to life.

Elizabeth “Liz” Addy, YMPS’ VP of Sales, focus is to deliver comprehensive solutions directly to telephony service providers that resolve the ongoing challenges related to originating, carrying, or terminating illegal robocall traffic. She brings over 10 years of experience supporting a vast variety of telephony services and has worked across all carrier types, including CLECs, Wireless & VOIP providers, Internet & Cable Companies, UCaSS, MVNOs and MSPs alike. She understands the challenges these carriers face, and the need to protect them beyond the current “whack-a-mole” approach, as it is the carriers that continue to bear the impact of the bad actors that are driving unlawful traffic industrywide. An avid Cubs fan, skiing enthusiast and patron of the arts- Liz is located in Denver, CO.

Doug leads the development and growth of revenue. He’s been hooked on the freedom of mobile technology ever since he was part of the team sending the first mobile emails back in the 90’s. Since then, he’s held senior leadership positions at communications companies Sprint, MCI, and SkyTel, as well as steered a series of cloud-based and mobile companies to subscription and revenue growth, including as CEO of Line2 (acquired by J2), Traverse Networks (acquired by Avaya), and Visto (later Good Technology; acquired by Blackberry). He holds a Management & Technology MBA from Wharton and is co-inventor on 4 call management patents.

Bill has been a Managing Director with VantagePoint Capital Partners since 2007. Prior to VantagePoint, he was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley & Co. and President of Morgan Stanley Venture Partners. Before Morgan Stanley, Bill was General Partner of several venture capital partnerships affiliated with J. H. Whitney & Co. Bill is a graduate of the University of Arizona (BS and MS) and Arizona State University (PhD). He also served as an officer in the Military Intelligence Branch of the United States Army Reserve.

Chad Cooper is the CEO of Digital Offering, a technology-driven merchant bank. He has more than 15 years’ experience in the investment banking and capital markets industry. From 2002-2011, Mr. Cooper worked at Roth Capital Partners, where he ultimately became a Partner and the Director of Institutional Sales. Mr. Cooper also manages DO Capital Management, a family office that actively invests personal assets in micro-cap and small-cap companies. Mr. Cooper currently sits on the Board of Directors of ARI Network Services, Inc., (NASDAQ: ARIS), Research Solutions (OTCQB: RSSS), and-Wings for Crossover, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Mr. Cooper has a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Southern California, and an M.B.A. from Georgetown University.

Eric Ver Ploeg is a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. Eric has been an active venture investor and entrepreneur for two decades. After co-founding two venture-backed startups, he was a Managing Director at VantagePoint Venture Partners, where he led investments into OZ Communications (acquired by Nokia), Spatial Wireless (acquired by Alcatel-Lucent), and YouMail. He also founded Recursive Capital, a quantitative hedge fund. Eric holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering, and an MBA, both from Stanford University.

Lee Weinberg is YouMail’s General Counsel, and practices with the law firm of Weinberg Gonser LLP. He has been a board member of, and investor in, growing consumer-facing and B2B enterprises. He is Managing Director and CFO of AEi Systems, a world leader in analysis of ultra-high reliability circuitry, and was co-founder and CEO of SalesMountain, a mobile and internet infomediary. Lee holds a JD degree from Yale Law School and a BA degree from University of Rochester.
